When someone while reading asked me what I thought of the books i didn’t want to say anything yet. The plot was okay, a bit confusing, but okay. I had heard from a lot of people that there was a big plottwist at the end of the books and that’s why I didn’t want to say anything yet. A plottwist like that can make or break the story.
Je go into the books without knowing anything, which is a bit annoying when you pick out the book, but nice when you read the story. It makes the book exciting and you know enough to want to read it.
The story is a bit confusing. You don’t read it in chronological order, which made it hard to understand. You went from the past, to the present, to another place in the past and you don’t know what happens when. I think you understand it better when ou read it a second time and it might make it more exciting. That was the only reason why the book didn’t get 10 points.
In the story you follow Cadence, a girl from the Sinclair family. This family is very rich and doesn’t like weird stuff at all. You know something happened to Cadence and throughout the story you get to know what happened a few summers ago. It already sounds interesting, but the real story is even more suprising.
I really enjoyed the style of writing. I’ve read a books form Lockhart before, which I thought was quite funny, but I really liked this one. It’s a fast read, you get through it easily and it’s interesting. Because you know it will be a suprising end you will keep on reading. I don’t know if I would’ve finished it so fast if I didn’t know that something would happen, maybe it would be a little boring in that case. Fortunately I knew something would happen and I read very fast.
If you’re looking for an exciting story You really should read this book. It’s a great book to just read when you have a little time. The characters are horrible and that’s why to book is so nice. Their world is just so different comapring to ours.
